Government MSME — Lean and ZED Program

Government MSME Lean Manufacturing and Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) certification program.

The Government of India's MSME Lean Manufacturing and ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) schemes exist to help small manufacturers raise quality, cut waste, and become more competitive — but navigating the scheme and actually implementing lean practices on the shop floor are two different challenges.

SRB Technosys's Principal Consultant is an MSME LEAN & ZED Master Trainer under the 'Make in India' initiative, and has personally taken a client (Raj Tools & Stamping) through to ZED Silver Certification. See the full case study.

ZED Bronze, Silver, and Gold certification tiers

Certification comes in three tiers — Bronze, Silver, and Gold — reflecting the maturity of your quality, process, and environmental systems. Most MSMEs start at Bronze and build toward Silver or Gold as structured improvement work takes hold.

What's included

  • Lean manufacturing training: 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Poka-Yoke, SMED
  • Shopfloor gap analysis and structured improvement roadmap
  • Support through the government scheme application and assessment process
  • ZED certification readiness: documentation, process discipline, and audit preparation

Outcomes our clients have seen

Workforce optimization, improved audit readiness, institutionalized 5S & safety culture, and — for Raj Tools & Stamping — ZED Silver Certification achieved as the outcome of systematic operational improvement, not as the goal itself.
